Should Colleges Have Playoffs?

by Kevin Benda

Haven't you wondered who would make it to a college Super Bowl, insetad of having rankings? Many people agree that college football should have a Superbowl. Who would make it to the final two. Battle it out. The elite of the elite; the best two teams instead of high profile teams.

If we had college football playoffs, we could have more time to tell who is the best team. Say you're a football team with the record of 4-8. The worst team in your conference. You might get a miracle. Maybe, just maybe, you can make it to the chapionship. Take the Giants for example. They were on the wildcard and still made it to the Superbown and won. We should give other college teams a chance to go, instead of having rankings. Plus, it's kind of boring ahving the same team going to the Rosebowl over and over again.

Another reason is that only famous teams go to the bowls. We could get teams to play a championship within their conference. At the end, there can all be one big college superbowl. It gets too confusing with all the teams and bowls. It makes the season easier to follow your own team. You can watch just one game, instead of figuring out which bowl to watch.

With playoffs, college teams can imitate the NFL So many more people would watch one huge game rather than 40 different bowls. Having playoffs would make the season easier to follow. Maybe we can make some money off the huge game at the end of the season. But no matter what, let's give other teams a chance to make it all the way.
